Once upon a time there was a flood which filled the cellar full of mud and left our food storage floating in mud. We were able to salvage the muddy bottles, but they needed to be cleaned off. Gordon was assigned to do this task. It was the middle of summer and it was hot, so the young boy washed the bottles in his bare feet. The combination of sun, water, and mud burned his feet to a ghastly purple. There were splotches where the mud was, but the young boy realized too late that he was damaged. It took a couple of days before he could wear shoes and socks. What a guy!
