Scissor Bills

Can anyone tell the story of Scissor Bills?

That's what Dad called gossipy old ladies who couldn't keep their mouths shut. The scissor part referred to the cutting hurt that their gossiping caused, I think.

As I recall, Grandpa Strong used to refer to the Gossips in Grandma Strong's club as "Scissor Bills".
