Dad used to jerk Dean's chain and insist that "Niger" Joe Namath was black...."He's not black Dad"! Would be Deans reply.... oh...and Dad would porposely miss pronounce his last name ... So Dean would have to correct that also....Dad was just loving getting Dean all wound up.

Mom said that Dad even called Van Burgess and Jerry McGhie to back him up, but they told Dad that he was white.
