Who had the nickname "Goldie", and why?

The "Golden Eagle" is a powerful bird with "sharp talons" capable of tearing clothing and flesh ....

I recall a warm sunny afternoon, spent with brothers, cousins, and friends, playing a game of "British Bulldog". At the end of this game, I recall torn clothing, and flesh...... I guess I needed to have my "Talons" trimmed ....

I remember Glade Bullock's shirt was in tatters from Goldie's powerful talons. Isn't that funny, we had two Goldie Strongs in Alpine.
