Ironrite--the Visual

This is the image I remember...just picture a double bed on either side of this scary machine, and there you have it!

Mom wishes she still had it to use on the tableclothes.

Looks-Rite too me. I remember the last time that Mom made me take a nap... I started to take the Iron-Rite apart.... Dad had to put it back together..

The best part about the ironrite, was that it served as our endtable. We could put our radio, change, wallet, homework etc. on the ironrite. I think Mom quit using it because it took too long to clean it off.
When Mom used it, we used to play and she would tell us stories. That was where I learned the story of the "Little Red Hen". It did get awfully hot in the bedroom, though, in the summer.

I guess you were mechanically inclined from an early age, Dad.
