Spry

Yesterday after Deanna and I inventoried the kitchen at Mom's, Deanna took her recipe card file to look through.  She called me today and wanted to know what this weird ingredient in a cookie recipe was.  She said it was for Wheaties Cookies and was in my handwriting.  The ingredient was 'spry'.  Does anyone besides me know what that is?

Brad's Homecoming

Yesterday was a special day. It was great to see Yvonne's family all together. The high point was seeing all thirteen children lined up across the podium singing "If I Could Hie To Kolob". Seeing them all together was a choice event. Yvonne, you have a lot to be proud of!

Second Test

These are a couple of pictures from Yellowstone last year.  Thank you, Brenda and Kent, for a wonderful trip.

Testing, Testing...

This is a picture of Brenda, Merlynne, and Wayne on the hay, and Yvonne on Dad's lap.  Kendell is helping me learn how to post on the blog.  I remember we had fun tromping on the hay.

What's in Your Garden?

We finished planting our garden yesterday. There are several different grow beds that we have established around our back yard to accommodate everything that we plant each year. In the herb garden we have rhubarb, onions, sage, chives, mint and basil. In various other places we have peas, carrots, lettuce, spinach, summer squash, cucumbers, kolaribi, raspberries, grapes, tomatoes, potatoes, beans, cauliflower, cabbage and winter squash. As you all know, our growing season is pretty short compared to the rest of the family, but we still get a fairly good yield in spite of our high desert climate. What's growing in your gardens this year?
