Quote for the Week

"I testify that you will remove barriers to happiness and find greater peace as you make your first allegiance your membership in the Church of Jesus Christ, and His teachings the foundation of your life. Where family or national traditions or customs conflict with the teachings of God, set them aside. Where traditions and customs are in harmony with His teachings, they should be cherished and followed to preserve your culture and heritage. There is one heritage that you need never change. It is that heritage that comes from your being a daughter or son of Father in Heaven." ---Elder Richard G. Scott

Quote for the Week

"Prayer is a privilege and the soul's sincere desire. We can move beyond routine and "checklist" prayers and engage in meaningful prayer as we appropriately ask in faith and act, as we patiently persevere through the trial of our faith, and as we humbly acknowledge and accept "not my will, but Thine, be done." ---Elder David A. Bednar

We are having Zone Conference tomorrow. We get a General Authority (one of the Seventies). I am really excited. Saturday we spent all day with our YSA Ward working on a house for Habitat for Humanities. We have a great group of young people. Seems like we either work with the young, or the old, nothing in between.

Family Trivia Question of the Week

Last week's question: On our trip to Nauvoo, what city did we get lost in? Casper, Wyoming.

This week's question: What did Dean say to Deanna as he pinched her on the way to California?

When we woke up this morning, Mom noticed something in the trap, so Dad went out and looked and it was a raccoon! That is raccoon #1 for this year. I don't know if we will catch any more, but only time will tell.

Allison has arrived in Taiwan safely. Her mission president called Leisa to let her know that they met Allison at the airport and brought her to the mission home where she met her companion and had an 8-course lunch. She is sleeping now because it is 2 AM there.
